It takes dozens of dedicated individuals to build every Quality Home. Our team is as varied as it is valued, with each team member bringing a unique skillset to the table to create beautiful custom modular homes. But despite their diverse talents and trades, there’s one thing they all have in common: they’re all a part of the Quality Homes Family.

For over three decades, we have prided ourselves on having such a close-knit community, with each member of the QH Team working in tandem to fulfill one goal. Each one of us believes wholeheartedly in the mission to help every new homeowner create their dream home—many of our team members have even built a Quality Home of their own!—and each member of the Quality Homes Family brings pride, dedication, and care to their work.

From first contact with our salespeople to long past your home’s delivery, the Quality Team has specialized staff to make sure that every new home is built to the highest standards, exactly to your specifications, without any complications. But before we look closer at our specialized teams, let’s get a quick recap of the 12 main steps of the Quality Homes process:

3. Purchasing – Securing financing & purchasing your approved home

4. Finishes – Selecting the features & finishes for your new home

5. Permits – Organizing & securing all the appropriate permits and zoning info

6. Excavation – Digging & pouring your full concrete foundation

7. Site Servicing – Prepping your lot and planning for water, septic, electrical, gas, etc.

8. Building – Constructing your home in our indoor factory

9. Install – Delivering & properly securing your home to its foundation

10. Assembly – Fully attaching each module and any finishing touches

11. Hook-Ups – Attaching and activating your water, electrical, etc.

12. Move-In – Moving day & beyond!

Sales Team

First in line, the Quality Homes Sales Team is an experienced group of Building Consultants and Administrators specialized in modular home sales. Welcoming and knowledgeable, it’s their job to guide each new client through their homebuilding journey, from start to finish, with complete commitment to your total satisfaction.

What does the Sales Team do?

• Introduce you to the world of Quality Homes and help you understand the modular construction process, as well as the benefits of building indoors.
• Act as your dedicated contact and confidant as they guide you through your entire homebuilding journey, helping you navigate all of the details related to your project.
• Assist you in figuring out your priorities in a new home, from function to form.
• Select, customize or help design plans to perfectly match your lifestyle, property, and budget.
• Help identify other factors in your project that you should plan for.
• Help guide you through signing contracts, coordinating financing, and prepping for permits

Drafting Team

Taking all the information provided by the Sales Team on your exact specifications, they create the official floorplans for your home. Their superior skill, creativity, and precision ensures that every detail has been diligently planned to meet and exceed every industry standard.

What does the Drafting Team do?

• Take the information from the sales contract and sketches and produce a drawing package capable of gaining a building permit, as well as the necessary details to produce the home in a modular factory under CSA certification.
• Ensure the perfect balance of your dream design and complete functionality and efficiency.
• Prepare a Presentation Package for your sign-off, where the design is reviewed for Ontario Building Code compliance as well as our Quality Home standard practices for the design of a modular home. This package includes floorplans, foundation plans, elevations, sections, electrical plans and any house specific details, as well as cabinetry drawings from our dedicated cabinet partner.
• Prepare a Permit Package to support the permitting process.
• Prepare a Production Package of final drawings (roof trusses, wall panels, cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, etc.) that are stamped by our team so as to start the production of the home in the factory.
• Ensure our teams are always adhering to current building codes and modular design practices to ensure the highest quality product for our homeowners.

Design & Décor Team

This is the fun part! Our in-house Decor & Design Consultant, Melinda, works with you one-on-one to take your design dreams and make them reality. The magic happens in our Design Studio during your Personal Selection Day, where we guide you through the process of choosing all of your exterior and interior finishes for your home that perfectly match your unique tastes. Her sense of style is unmatched, but it’s her ability to find your style that makes her truly second to none.

What does the Design Team do?

• Get to know you and your personal style to help guide you in choosing the best possible finishes for your lifestyle. Finding inspiration from pictures, flipping through magazines or browsing online, we help bring your vision to life.
• Assist you in selecting all of your finishes for your home from our curated offerings. From interior finishes like flooring, countertops and cabinetry to exterior finishes like cladding and roofing, windows and doors.
• Ensure that the overall look and feel of each home comes together in a balanced, aesthetically pleasing design.
• Complete your Personal Selections Document after all of your finishes are selected to support our Drafting Team completing your permit & production packages, so that your home becomes completely buildable and moves into the factory!
• Stay up to date on the current interior design trends in order to help you create the perfect home to suit your style, as well as maintaining trendy design standards. We have hand picked our selections so there is no need to run from supplier to supplier with samples trying to visualize how your home will come together. Everything is in one place.
• Work with our dedicated and longstanding vendor partners who provide us the very best quality brands, and the latest in design trends all with excellent guarantees.

Purchasing Team

Quality Homes’ Purchasing Team plays an essential role in every new home build. As the ones responsible for connecting with our partners and suppliers, it’s their hard work that ensures that every home is built on schedule, and every detail is exactly right.

What does the Purchasing Team do?

• Source and secure high quality products for every Quality Home.
• Make sure that all materials and finishes have been ordered on time for each stage of the building process.
• Work hand-in-hand with Quality Homes’ valued partners and suppliers to get the best possible quality products for your home.
• Stay up to date with new building products and materials to ensure our offerings are fresh and high quality.
• Ensure a reliable supply line to avoid delays in the construction process, so that you can move into your new home right on time.

Permits Team

Tackling one of the most important steps in the building process, our in-house Permit Coordinator helps outline all requirements for all aspects of the permitting process, so you don’t have to worry about the fine details. We make sure that your home can be completed legally and without delays. With many years of expertise, diligent research skills, and exceptional organization, she’ll help you navigate the permitting process with ease.

What does our Permit Coordinator do?

• Help assist you in obtaining building permits for your Quality Home.
• Research your lot to make sure your permitting needs—including zoning, bylaws, conservation, septic, and more—are all met.
• Help navigate details related to zoning, municipality, bylaws, conservation, septic, etc.
• Ensure you have all of the documents required for a building permit.
• Work ahead to guarantee that all permits are secured well in advance, so your home stays on schedule.
• Help you prepare for any site services required for your Quality Home.

We take the fear out of “having to get permits”, changing the experience to “what are the requirements and how do we do it”. Your peace-of-mind is our number one priority. We’re here to help!

Modular Construction Team

Our in-house Construction Team is responsible for building your modular home inside our climate-controlled facility in Kenilworth. A diverse group of highly-skilled craftspeople backed by 125 years of expertise, our Construction Team are each an expert in their field. Their precision, knowledge, and diligence ensure that every home is built on time and to the highest possible standards.

What does the Construction Team do?

Build your home! This includes:

• Using specialized equipment and saws to precisely fabricate and assemble all engineered trusses, cut floor joists, ceiling framing, and wall studs.
• Framing of floor, walls, roof, to the exact measurements on blueprints.
• Electrical rough-ins and fixtures by our master electrician and their team to power your home.
• Plumbing and setting all fixtures including tubs, toilets, sinks, showers.
• Construction of an energy-efficient building envelope, including insulation, sheathing walls and roof, shingles, and installing windows and doors.
• Interior finishing including drywall, paint, flooring, trim, hanging doors, installing light fixtures, and all of the detailed finishes to the home from your custom selections.
• Cabinetry installation for your kitchen and bathrooms, and any custom millwork included in your design.
• Cleaning the entire home following the construction process to ensure your new home is pristine upon delivery.

PLUS, our Construction Team is responsible for upholding all of our high standards, innovative processes, and accomplishments, including:

• Performing up to 150 quality assurance inspections for every module of the homes we build in order to meet all requirements for a full CSA certification.
• We are awarded Air Tightness Champion, year over year, for our energy efficient modular building practices.
• Our team generates less waste from buying in bulk and using materials on multiple projects, pulling from inventory as needed, etc.
• Building 52 weeks of the year in a climate-controlled environment, materials stay straight and true, protected from the weather to ensure a better built home for our homeowners.
• Being able to build components of the home indoors instead of on-site has allowed for the development of innovative engineering and building practices. For example, our unique ability to design and build our roof trusses to accommodate for transportation and the craning of modules on site. Truly a modular marvel!
• Performing all services under one roof by one team allows us to completely control the process, avoiding delays or issues. On-site, you don’t get that luxury. All of the Quality Homes teams are in one place to complete your home to the highest quality standards.

Depending on the design, we finish as much as we can inside the plant, with only a small fraction of the build completed on-site. These are typically elements that benefit from on-site construction, such as garages, porches, or decks!

Site & Warranty Team

Last, but certainly not least! Quality Homes’ Site Team work very hard together to ensure all siteworks for your home, as well as your extended 10-year Tarion Warranty, are completed properly. It takes incredible organizational skills to coordinate this stage of our process, so that you can finally move into your new Quality Home!

What does the Site & Warranty Team do?

• Manage, plan, schedule and coordinate all site activities.
• Coordinate the routing and road permitting to allow modular units to be delivered on our trucks to your property.
• Foundation Supervisors coordinate and supervise foundation installation.
• Delivery Supervisors coordinate and supervise the setting of the modules using our crane operator to place the units onto your foundation.
• Site Construction Managers coordinate and supervise any onsite building and finishing to complete your home.
• Complete the detailed process of our Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) when the house is completed and then signed off.
• Look after all customer care and warranty service queries, ensuring we take care of any warrantable issues that may arise.
